Beach Recount

Kia Ora Everyone
This week Team Moana have been learning how to get better results in their writing by using hooks, similes and metaphors. I got lots of Gold for glory!

 At the Beach

Vroom, vroom! The car took off. “To the beach we go!” Mum shouted. Later when we got to the beach I ran down to the sand and it looked and felt golden like the sun rays, shiny and mushy. Splish splash, the water crashed between the waves. “ARRRR ,it’s cold!” I screamed.  It was a freezer. Then it got a little bit warmer.

“I got a fish! I got a fish!” Dad yelled.  It was a smelly rotten egg. It smelled that bad. The fish was as orange as a mandarin. “Time for lunch,” Mum said .
“Whoo!”I yelled as I smelled the food.“Mmmmm that smells delicious!” I said.
“Time to go home,” Dad said.

Has your mum ever turned up the music so loud your eardrums nearly popped ? “Turn it down” I yelled. On the way home we stopped at the shop and got some ice blocks. They tasted like there was a party in my mouth. It was such a fun day.
